1. Podcast in Canva

I keep being amazed by this tool! There is so much you can do and now podcasting is among them! While we school has a WeVideo subscription, I still like to give students choice in how to complete projects and do it within programs they are comfortable with. It’s nice to know that students in my school can now choose between WeVideo, Canva, and Adobe Creative Cloud Express to easily create products such as videos and podcasts and do it as creatively or as professionally as they can imagine!

2. Engage and Check for Understanding

Have you heard of strategies called Sketch &Tell, Sculpt & Tell, or Build & Tell? If you have, you know they are part of the famous EduProtocols! These strategies can be used across grade levels and content areas. To hear how teachers stack 2 or 3 protocols during a lesson and come back with engaging, fully developed products from students that have them excited and remembering content beyond that day’s lesson is pretty amazing. It’s been a goal of mine for a while to learn more about these protocols and I might finally get there this summer!

3. The UDL Lens

UDL, otherwise known as, Universal Design for Learning, has been a topic I revisit again and again, so I appreciated coming upon this find with free resources to continue my growth.

4. Amplify Agency

I am a big proponent of student choice and this video shows exactly how it should be done! I like the idea that if students pick different items, they can then share out in a whole class or small group discussion and see what similarities and differences they can find or how they can relate to the topic.

5. Using Bloom’s Taxonomy in the Digital Age

Sometimes it’s hard to remember all the various strategies and how they can be used to design effective lessons. So I appreciate a guide that gives me ideas or reminds me about things I may have forgotten about such as the handy update below to Bloom’s Taxonomy in the Digital Age.
