1. Twitter + Canva
I had no idea you could copy a Twitter link into Canva and it would embed the tweet and allow for interaction! This is pretty cool!
By the way, did you hear about all the great Canva updates announced last week at CanvaCreate? If not, make sure to check out my post!
2. Adobe AI Action
Speaking of Canva updates…did you know Adobe announced updates too? They were much, much quieter about it and I only realized they had any AI features at all when I was fact-checking about Canva and came across this article from The Verge. It doesn’t make clear if the features will be available on the free education subscription, but it will be similar to Canva in that you can use AI to quickly create designs or word art. There will also be a text-to-image generator and a text generator that creates word art effects.
3. Digital Portfolios
I feel like it’s hard to find good examples of digital portfolios, so when I see one, I get really excited. Stacy Yung shared the below example and I love that it explains what the unit is about, includes learning targets and artifacts of learning, and a summary of what the student learned. Great job!
4. Ques-cussion
Here’s a different type of pre-reading strategy where students begin with a summary of a story, then generate questions about the story. Working in small groups they have a discussion using only questions. What a unique way to get students interacting with each other and using their critical thinking skills!
There will be no Weekly Finds next week as I’ll be on Spring Break! Have a great week everyone!
