1. Progressive Choice Boards

TCEA shared out a post from Ditch That Textbook and I really like this idea of a choice board that grows over time as students learn new technology tools and strategies. Keep this idea in your back pocket for the start of next school year and utilize it early and often.

2. English Language Learner Pear Deck Lesson Template

Pear Deck Lesson Template

I just created a new online Pear Deck PD session as part of an assignment in the Canvas Certified Educator program and now really want to include this amazing template somewhere! Amanda Sandoval just has an incredible brain for pairing instructional strategies with rich design techniques and this template while built for ELL students can be used in any classroom. Click to view the Pear Deck template and make a copy for your own use.

3. K20 Learn

During our statewide Canvas call this week, our leaders did a short training on blended learning strategies in Canvas and used instructional strategies from a website called K20 Learn from the University of Oklahoma. The website is new to me, but I really like how the strategies are displayed, almost like role-playing cards in a board game. They include a brief description of the strategy, the intention and purpose of the strategy, where it can be utilized in a lesson, and related resources. Click the card and it turns over showing a summary and procedure steps for implementing the strategy. Go bookmark this site now!

4. Shadow Keywords in Canva

I just joined the Canva Design Circle group on Facebook and saw this graphic by @bycanvaholic and keywords to use in Canva to find objects with shadows. I like that I can find frames with shadows to make objects pop a bit more.
