1. Demonstrate Mastery with Spinners
This is absolutely one of the coolest ideas I’ve seen in a while! Using a Random Name Picker/Spinner and instead of adding names, add the names of tools or strategies and have it pick the way students demonstrate learning or what product they create.
Canvas users, definitely check out the thread as Brad has a way for you to embed the spinner into Canvas.
2. Have a Learning Realignment
So much has changed and not changed at the same time in education over the last two years, but last week, when I was at the Virginia Society for Technology in Education (VSTE) conference, keynote speakers Carl Hooker and Adam Phyall got the audience’s attention by saying, we’re never going back to normal, but that our structure (and expectations) need to be realigned. What a spark!
3. Using Rubrics in Canvas
Have you used the rubric feature in Canvas yet? You can create your own, use state standards, or create learning outcomes. You can even share rubrics with colleagues and search for them! Check out this GIF:
4. #Eduprotocols Worldwide 3
Back in the November 19 Weekly Finds edition, I shared out this AWESOME playlist of recorded webinars with teachers discussing the different Eduprotocols and how you can use them in class! Well, #Eduprotocols Worldwide 3 is coming in February! Register here!
5. Google Docs and Mote
I don’t know a ton about Mote, but I know a lot of educators are using it! I also remember how excited our ELL teachers were when audio became a feature in Pear Deck, so when I saw this tweet that Mote can work with Google Docs, I figured this would be a good one to share!
