1. Ancient Greece This or That Choice Board
I really like the idea of this choice board by Greta Sandler. It can be easily adapted for any content area and would allow for stations, group, or individual work by students.
2. Debrief Exit Ticket Activity
I shared another list of exit ticket activities in August. This one seems like a fun way for students to reflect on learning and/or communicate with their peers. It can also be easily adapted and changed to fit the environment or standards in your content area.
3. Quick Tech Tips
I discovered this nugget and was super happy! The Educational Technology from Albuquerque Public Schools is going to be sharing quick tips via their YouTube Channel. I really enjoyed this first tip in the series and it might inspire me to do some of these for my channel too.
4. Coaching a Growth Mindset
I am a huge believer in developing growth mindsets, so when I saw this jump into my Twitter feed, I knew I would be sharing it. This can be a great reminder to both tech coaches who work with teachers and for teachers working with students. I think I’ll print this out and post in my office so I can refer to it when coaching teachers in my building.
5. 360Cities – A replacement for Google Tour Creator?
I was super bummed when Google announced the closing of Google Tour Creator and Expeditions. My school had just purchased devices to use for VR activities and I wondered what we would do with these devices. I want to dig into 360Cities a little more, but it sounds promising, right? Its free and as long as students can make their own tours as easily as they could before, I’m willing to try it out!
