Shake Up Learning Summer Webinar Series, June – August
I am a big Kasey Bell and Shake Up Learning fan! I have read her book, taken several of her Google classes, and am a long time listener of her podcasts. I can’t recommend this new webinar series enough, because I am sure it will be amazing!
In this 4 part series, “explore how you can use podcasting, ignite talks, sketchnoting, and tools to amplify student voice in your practice. See how easy it is to empower all learners (4-12) to showcase what they know in engaging ways”.

Virtual Virginia Professional Learning Mini-Courses , June – August (open only to VA Educators)
Virtual Virginia will offer six self-paced, asynchronous professional learning “mini-courses” this summer. A variety of topics will be covered, including blended education, project-based learning, the Canvas LMS, and student engagement.
The first three mini-courses will be available starting Monday, June 14:
- Diving In: Project-Based Learning
- Planting the Seeds: Cultivating Your Blended Learning Knowledge
- Scaling the Mountain: Intermediate-Level Canvas LMS Training
The remaining three mini-courses will be released later this summer:
- Hitting the Mark: Targeting Student Engagement
- Now We’re Cooking: Canvas + Google
- The Trail Guide: Leading the Way via Hybrid/Concurrent Learning Strategies

WeVideo Creator Community Summit, July 20-22
I’m super excited for this event, because I will be one of the presenters!! I’ll be presenting on WeVideo Editing Tips and Tricks! (Date TBD). This will be my first time attending and presenting at this event, but I’m eager to learn more about one of my favorite tools!

Virginia’s into Blended Education (VIBE), July – August
In partnership with Virtual Virginia, Virginia Society for Technology in Education (VSTE) and Canvas, join these 30 minute live webinars on various topics focusing on blended learning. Learn how to incorporate blended learning methods into your professional practice and leverage Learning Management System (LMS) technology in face-to-face instruction. Each session will feature accomplished educators from across Virginia who will share their expertise and provide practical, “see now/do now” tips and tools.
